Speaker Bio:

Dr. Brian Franks, BDS (U.Lond), LDS RCS(Eng), MFGDP(UK), PGDip ANSI, FPFA, ACIArb, MEWI Course Director and Senior Lecturer, PGA, PGCert, PGDip Natural Rejuvenation and Aesthetic Non-surgical Interventions, City of London Dental School Facial Aesthetics Practitioner.
Brian is also Principal of Dr. Brian Franks Facial Aesthetics Training Courses and a Visiting Senior Lecturer, MClinDent Programme, BPP University/City of London Dental School.
He is a Supporting Clinical Tutor, MSc Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics, School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Central Lancashire and Dental Expert Witness – Member of the Expert Witness Institute.

BOTULINUM TOXIN: PART I

Aims and Objectives:

On completion of this course, the delegate will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of understanding the anatomy of the muscles when providing botulinum toxin injections.
  • Explain the difference between products that are available in the market today.
  • Describe the important steps in the consultation process to ensure clients are well informed about the treatment choice.
  • Identify contraindications for botulinum toxin treatment.
  • Identify the various injection techniques that may be used when injecting botulinum toxin injections.
  • Identify the risk of potential complications of botulinum toxin.
  • Through the hands-on training be confident to provide wrinkle reduction treatments using botulinum toxin.

Outcomes:

The delegate will have gained:

  • Sufficient knowledge and hands-on training to confidently apply their new skills to provide botulinum toxin treatments in their own clinic/surgery.
  • An understanding of the importance of continually updating their knowledge and clinical skills.

DERMAL FILLERS: PART I

Aims and Objectives:

On completion of this course, the delegate will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of understanding the anatomy of the skin when providing dermal fillers.
  • Understand the different products that are available.
  • Describe the important steps in the consultation process to ensure clients are well informed about the treatment choice.
  • Identify contraindications for dermal fillers.
  • Identify the various injection techniques that may be used when injecting dermal fillers.
  • Identify the risk of potential complications of dermal fillers.
  • Through the hands-on training be confident to provide dermal filler treatment using Hyaluronic Acid.

Outcomes:

The delegate will have gained:

  • Sufficient knowledge and hands-on training to confidently apply their new skills to provide dermal filler treatment in their own clinic/surgery.
  • An understanding of the importance of continually updating their knowledge and clinical skills.
